More about Jeanne:"I've had a very eclectic and certainly not boring life. I moved to St. Louis in the fall of 1977 because of my husband (Ernie). We have lived in the inner city and have been involved in inner city churches the whole time we've been here. We bought our house in 1978 not long after we were married and have been working on it for over 30 years. 15 yrs. later we bought the small house next to us (a former drug house). In December of 2000 we moved my Mother-in-Law (from Richfield, MN) to that small house. I've held a number of different jobs - cook, care-giver, Admin. Assist., Account Assistant. I've home-schooled my children, worked as treasuerer in a political campaign...Expand for more
, was an advocate for a number of my low-income neighbors, and have worked to be a peace-maker in my neighborhood.
I was a full time care-giver for my elderly Mother-in-Law until her passing - 4/24/10, and am currently resting and re-evaluating. I have 2 grown daughters Robin and Emma) and 4 grandchildren (Hailey Allen - 8/12/01., Alexi Hawkins - 8/20/05, Ariel Allen - 8/21/05, and Judah Allen - 11/25/08. I live in the city of St. Louis, Mo. We own 2 houses, a 2 1/2 story brick Queen Ann Style built in 1888 and a small 2 story Italianate (also brick) built in 1884. The smaller house has been my M-I-L's and is totally rehabbed. The larger is now in the process of a total rehab. We are living in the Italianate at present as we work on the other house. Since I am at home (at present), I handle alot of the details of our hectic lives, finances, household details, correspondence, occasional grandchild-care, etc. Our life together has held many difficult challenges, but the good has certainly out-weighed the bad - God is so faithful! My family and friends bring me much joy! I also am grateful for my church and neighborhood communities. As I look back on my life thus far - I am so very blessed!!!".
